Program Description

June 2025 DCH Admissions Webinar

Join Our Depth Psychology and Creativity with Emphasis in the Arts and Humanities Admissions Webinar

Join Dr. Wood and Dr. Literski as we embark on a journey to uncover powerful and mysterious forces that have inspired human creativity throughout history. Drawing on art, mythology, history, literature, non-western, and indigenous wisdom, along with esoteric traditions, we will discover the roles of muses, daimons, spirits, and gods as archetypal sources of human creativity. How have these potent figures shaped artistic expression, innovation, and the creative psyche across time and place? Are they merely outdated metaphors, or can they still be relevant as sources of inspiration–and even collaboration–today? How might we, as modern creatives, welcome and engage with these forces to enrich our own work?

  1. G. Jung understood creativity as a vital human instinct, the expression of which has the power to bring meaning to our lives. This presentation offers a taste of the rich, transformative, and interdisciplinary approach that defines the M.A. in Depth Psychology and Creativity with Emphasis in the Arts and Humanities program at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Whether you see yourself as an artist, a scholar, or someone who aspires to find the deep wells of creativity within you, come learn how the merging of depth psychological scholarship with creative expression can bridge the worlds of imagination and intellect, transforming our personal lives and careers while bringing healing and rejuvenation to the world soul.

Live Q&A and Discussion

Following the presentation, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in a live Q &A and discussion with Dr. Wood and Dr. Literski.
